Successful Twenty Sixth

Hello hello all! Just wanted to drop by and say thank you for everyone that called or emailed to wish me a happy birthday last week. I had an amazing birthday. Nathan really stepped up and got SO much done for me around the house. It was the perfect gift.

We now have two little boys that share a room, and a new nursery/guest room! We also have new door knobs, towel bars, screens on the windows and so many other things that I've been dying to have for a long time! LOL!

Next on the agenda is to get the paint colors picked out for the nursery and some painting done. I've dared Nathan to paint me a whimsical flower garden...tee hee hee. It shall be interesting to see what it looks like but I have faith in him!

Baby Emma is growing wonderfully. We got confirmation last week that she is still a SHE so I'm no longer afraid to go crazy with the pinks and purples! Ethan and Patrick are getting so big as well! I seriously can't believe that Ethan will be starting school next fall and that Patrick will be 2 so soon after Emma arrives. And life keeps spinning by...

Today also marks the 1 year anniversary of me loosing my job. It seems so bittersweet. We've done so many amazing things in the last year that I can't imagine going back to work sometimes, but then again, I can't imagine not working again for another 5 years! LOL! However, real life kicks in sometimes too. I have my very first job interview for TOMORROW! LOL! Ironic that it took 364 days to get an interview and it comes only days after getting back into school and really setting out a plan of attack to change my career. Se la vie though! I'm going to keep on truckin' to achieve those goals I set. I know it's what will make me happy. I'm just glad I have a lot of people around that support me!

Still no pictures either, I'm afraid. I've made the mistake of leaving my camera at Kyle & Allison's house and well, I haven't seen them again to get it back. Hopefully though, that will be on Friday so I can take some new pictures of everyone and everything that's been going on to share with you! Check back soon for those!

Until then,

New skin...

I decided it was time for a chance to spruce up the old bloggage! This skin is compliments of one of the designers I proudly create for, MissErin's Scraps! This kit is called Halloween Town and is just so appropriate of the season!

In news on the homefront, nothing TOO much going on. Nathan and I have been enjoying the start of the Carolina Hurricanes hockey season and just sports in general. The boys are just loving the fall weather as they get to play outside more and more without feeling like they'll be dying from heat stroke anytime soon :).

I've decided to go back to school as well. I think a future in Nursing is what I'm after so I'll keep you posted on that as well.

And finally, I believe that Nathan and I have decided on a name for our baby girl...Miss Emma Lee...and it was confirmed Tuesday that she is STILL a she.

Until next time!

LOTS of catching up to do!

Well there has been SO much going on! First and foremost though, we had another ultrasound yesterday and I'm happy to report that baby Sawyer is doing wonderfully! Right on track and growing well. I'm 19 weeks along today and we're just about halfway through! I'm also happy to report that
ITS A GIRL!!!!!

This is one happy momma right here!! And I think Nathan is pretty excited about it too!

In other news, Nathan celebrated his fabulous 30th Birthday this past Monday! Just some simple brownie cake at home with his boys...and me and Devon of course!

And afterwards we all got to just hang out and enjoy our time together. It was rather nice if I do say so myself!

Congrats are in order too! One of my best friends in the world got married on Sept. 12th! Congrats go out to Mr. & Mrs. Brandon & Susan Havens!!! I'm oh so happy for you guys!

And last but not least, Leslie, Devon and I took all the kiddos to the zoo a few weeks ago and we had an AMAZING time! All the kids had the best time and it was SUCH a beautiful day to be outside.

Patrick LOVED the Sea Lions! this is what he did EVERY time one of them swam by!

Back to the Future!

Hey everyone! I just wanted to apologize to everyone about the lack of posting. I had to send my computer off to Toshiba to be wiped clean and completely restored! I have tons of pictures to upload and news to share! I'm working on uploading pictures now and editing them as well as a new blog post! I hope to have something up for you tomorrow!

Just another Monday update...

And we're back! Okay, sorry I didn't update after my trip to Florida but we've been BUSY! We had a birthday party for Ethan, a houseguest for a week, a few camping trips at the lake and just general craziness around here! Pictures of Ethan's party will have to wait (mom's sending the pics this week) but it was a GREAT party! Nathan set up a personal mini waterpark in the backyard for everyone and I think everyone over all enjoyed watching the kiddos, eating the food, and having great conversation overall. Our AWESOME and wonderful Devon came down to visit for a week and we had SUCH a great time boating, camping and just hanging out. The boys are completely in love with her and we're so excited to know she's moving to NC!!! Its only for a few months before she starts med school next spring but its 8 months of Devon!! We can't wait to have her here!
Lets see, I went to visit the doc's office and can report that we have ONE count them O-N-E baby in my tummy! As of today I'm 14 weeks and 4 days preggers and feeling better every day! My energy is returning although still fades quickly chasing after my boys, but I'm starting to get more excited about it every day. Hopefully we'll find out if this little one is another boy or a (gulp) Girl around the beginning of October.
Nathan is working hard and enjoying his new toy. He bought a boat and loves every minute of it! I can't complain either because the boys love it and its OH so nice! LOL!
I'm also getting ready for some time in Virginia! Susan and Brandon are getting married on Sept. 12th and I'm SOOOO excited for them!!! I'm also very excited to get up there and see all my friends for a few hours WITH Nathan! LOL!
Other than that, not too much to report so I'll leave you with a few pictures from the last couple of weeks. Be on the look out next week for some pics from Ethan's birthday party!

Travel Plans

The boys and I are headed out tomorrow evening for Florida. We'll be traveling to see my grandfather who's not in the best of health. I want Ethan to hear stories from his mouth of his days as a police officer and soldier. I want Patrick to meet the man who his middle name is honored. I want to see my pop because I miss him.
I hate goodbyes...
Prayers please for safe travels and for my grandfather in whatever travels he may take over the next few months.

As demanded by my hubby...

Yes, Nate is demanding blog posts. I'm sorry that I haven't been able to update but for a while there I couldn't even turn on the computer much less type or anything. This baby is true to Sawyer form and is wearing me out before it even arrives! LOL! My morning sickness was HORRIBLE for a while but now that I've kind of evened out and seem to be back to semi-normal, I'm hoping to be on here a little more than normal. Updates for you! Lets see...Ethan is great! He's just talking up a storm and trying to manipulate (I wonder where that comes from, MOM...) to get his own way. Patrick is just a MONSTER! He's CLIMBING everywhere and just ornery! LOL! He's so much like Nate it isn't even funny :). Nate's doing well, still loving his lawn every week and working hard. I am doing better. Getting out a little more with some new girlfriends in the area which I'm SO thankful for. Sometimes it still amazes me at the things that can keep you going when the going gets tough.

We went to Lake Gaston for the 4th of July holiday and I have so many amazing pictures for you. I cannot wait to hear all the comments (HINT HINT) about them! So with that, I'll let you enjoy them! and I PROMISE to update more often!
